The 88th Infantry Division, known as the “Blue Devils,” is a distinguished U.S. Army unit that served with great honor in World War II.
Its Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) features a blue quatrefoil cross on an olive background, symbolizing unity and strength. The division fought in the Italian Campaign, earning a reputation for discipline, courage, and effectiveness in combat — becoming one of the first all-draftee divisions to see action in WWII.
