SSI - 26th Infantry Division
The 26th Infantry Division, nicknamed the "Yankee Division," was composed primarily of National Guard units from New England. Its shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) features a blue "YD" monogram on an olive drab background.
Formed during World War I, the division fought in major campaigns in both WWI and WWII, earning a strong combat record. Though inactivated in 1993, its legacy lives on through the 26th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade in the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
