Kagnew Station - East Africa
Kagnew Station was a U.S. military base in Asmara, Eritrea, active from the 1940s to the 1970s. It served as a key communications and intelligence hub during the Cold War, providing signals intelligence and supporting U.S. operations in East Africa. The base closed in 1977 following Eritrea's independence.
