The 5th Battalion of the16th Artillery rendered the general artillery support for the 4th Infantry Division and was a dual 155mm towed howitzer and 8-inch self-propelled M110 howitzer battalion. It sered at Pleiku, and when the division left Vietnam the battalion was attached to I Field Force Vietnam Artillery and moved to Phu Cat in January 1971, where it remained until its withdrawal from Vietnam.
