The 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment (Airmobile) is a decorated U.S. Army infantry unit, part of the 101st Airborne Division (Airmobile) during the Vietnam War. Known as the “Above the Rest” battalion, it specialized in airmobile operations, using helicopters for rapid insertion into combat zones.
