The 2nd Infantry Division (2ID) of the U.S. Army is currently stationed in South Korea, primarily focused on deterring aggression and maintaining peace on the Korean Peninsula. Their main mission is to defend South Korea, and they are the last permanently forward-stationed division in the U.S. Army. The division's headquarters is located at Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek-si, and they have several camps near the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
