The 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment is an active US Army unit assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. They are currently stationed at Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood), Texas. The unit was reactivated in 2003 and redesignated in 2005
