The 5th Squadron, 9th Cavalry, is a U.S. Army unit that has been part of various deployments and served in different locations throughout history. It was activated in 1962 at Fort Ord. Currently, the 5th Squadron, 9th Cavalry is assigned to the 1st Stryker BCT, 25th Infantry Division, stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
