The "511th Military Police Co" participated in Operation Just Cause, the 1989 U.S. invasion of Panama aimed at deposing General Manuel Noriega. The company was based at Fort Drum, New York, and the operation involved troops from various branches to remove Noriega from power due to his drug trafficking charges and to restore democracy.
