The Avenger Air Defense system, designated AN/TWQ-1, is a mobile, short-range air defense system developed by Boeing Aerospace. It was designed to protect ground units against various threats like low-flying aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles, primarily using FIM-92 Stinger missiles. The system was developed in the early 1980s, with the first production units delivered in 1988 and entering service in 1990.
