The 18th Field Artillery Brigade, nicknamed the "Steel Brigade," is an airborne unit within the XVIII Airborne Corps, based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. It is the field artillery brigade for the XVIII Airborne Corps, responsible for planning, synchronizing, and employing long-range precision fires and counterfires. The XVIII Airborne Corps is known as "America's Contingency Corps" and is designed for rapid deployment, with Fort Bragg serving as its power projection platform.
