The 58th IB Battalion, also known as the "Dimalulupig" Battalion, was activated in 1985 and has been involved in military operations against the Communist Terrorist Group-New Peoples’ Army (CTG-NPA). The battalion has received numerous meritorious awards and has made significant contributions to maintaining peace and order in Eastern Misamis Oriental and Camiguin Province.
