The 48th Field Artillery Battalion (FAB) was part of the U.S. Army's 7th Infantry Division (the "Lucky 7th") during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater with an amphibious assault experience in the Philippines. The 7th Division fought from the Marshall Islands to the Philippines and Okinawa, ultimately receiving a Philippine Presidential Unit Citation for its service, and the 48th FAB supported these operations.
