The 1st Squadron, 38th Cavalry Regiment is a U.S. Army unit formerly stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, as part of the 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade. The unit was activated in 2009 and deployed to Afghanistan in 2010. It is associated with the larger, historic 38th Cavalry Regiment, which has roots in World War I and was involved in notable actions during World War II.
