There was no Philippine-American War service history for a U.S. Army 15th Cavalry Regiment; rather, the U.S. Army used cavalry units like the 24th and 25th US Infantry Regiments, the Tenth U.S. Cavalry, and others during the war from 1899 to 1902. The Philippine-American War was primarily an infantry and counter-insurgency conflict, and the cavalry units involved were the Ninth U.S. Cavalry, the Tenth U.S. Cavalry, and the 24th and 25th U.S. Infantry units, which were primarily tasked with scouting and hunting insurgent groups rather than large-scale battles.
