The 6th Battalion, 502nd Infantry, was a unit within the Berlin Brigade, a U.S. Army formation stationed in West Berlin during the Cold War. Initially, it was part of the 6th Infantry Regiment, but was reorganized in 1984 to become part of the 502nd Infantry Regiment, sharing lineage with the 2nd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division. The battalion's history is intertwined with the Berlin Brigade's mission to defend West Berlin and deter potential aggression during the Cold War. The unit was later involved in peacekeeping operations in Macedonia as part of Operation Able Sentry.
