The 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, nicknamed "Strike Force", is a part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division. It has a distinguished history, particularly during the Vietnam War, where it served with the 1st Brigade, arriving in July 1965 and remaining until 1972. The unit was known for its extensive combat experience and its role in nation-building efforts.
